Josephine Lachmann, 95, of Raleigh left us on Wednesday morning, October 5. She was a big part of many lives as a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor.

She kept her feisty self 'til the end.

Jo was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Theodore E Lachmann, and a son, David T Lachmann. Born in Chester, PA, she was the fourth of six children born to the late Carmelo and Agatha Vaccaro. She was also predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

Jo was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Theodore E Lachmann, and a son, David T Lachmann. Born in Chester, PA, she was the fourth of six children born to the late Carmelo and Agatha Vaccaro. She was also predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two daughters: Jean Lachmann of Raleigh and Susan Lachmann of Jonesborough, TN and three grandchildren: Josh Flaccavento, Maria Flaccavento and Theo Lachmann. Jo is also survived by her sister Midge, of Chester PA, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was also loyal to her faith as a long-time member and supporter of St Raphael Catholic Church at 5801 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh where on Friday, October 14, visitation will begin at 1pm followed by a funeral Mass at 2pm in the Chapel.

The family would like to thank the staff of Transitions HospiceCare of Raleigh for their exceptional hospice services. They were wonderful and helped immensely, as did other caregivers and friends.
